convention experience as demonstrated by a commitment to unparalleled
customer service. To achieve this goal, our all-volunteer fan-run
convention is organized into various operational departments. Opportunities
to volunteer for at-con staff are available in many of these departments. If
you are interested in volunteering for Treklanta, please read the entire
Policies & Requirements section below. Departments, Directors,

|Previous experience on another convention's volunteer staff is preferred but not required. If you do not have any previous convention experience, we will be looking for some other type of experience, skill or especially strong interest in the department you wish to work for.|
All staff volunteers who are not members of the USS Republic NCC-1371 are requested to pay a $10.00* registration fee to cover certain basic overhead expenses such as con badge, lanyard, program book, con suite, etc. Members in good standing of the Republic (i.e., those whose STARFLEET and chapter membership dues are current as of the date of the convention) are exempted from this fee. Volunteers can click the "Add to Cart" button to pay their registration fee, request a specific department and advise us of any special experience or skills they have which may be useful and helpful to the convention. Payments may also be made by cash or check at any staff meeting.
Treklanta staff volunteers are encouraged but not required to purchase an official Treklanta staff shirt, featuring the Treklanta logo embroidered in the upper left chest area of a collared, two-button pullover sport shirt. These shirts are $30.00* each and MUST be purchased at least two weeks prior to the convention. staff members will be expected to work approximately twenty hours during
the convention, generally in four-hour shifts. This requirement
may vary from department to department depending on need. Each
department head determines his or her department's exact requirements.
